Silvernail Helen L. Silvernail, local resident of Owasso, died Tues., April 17, 2001, at the age of 90 years. She was born Feb. 17, 1911, at Oologah to Samuel Lee and Callie (Cooper) Jenkins. She was married April 26, 1930 at Cleveland to Clyde Ira Silvernail. She spent most of her working life as a switchboard operator for various telephone companies. She had made her home in Owasso since 1984 and was a member of the Owasso First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including reading, gardening and when she was able, dancing. Her greatest enjoyment was her family. Loving family members include daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Harvey Ahl, of Blanchard; daughter, Sharon Logsdon of Owasso; son and daughter-in-law Iris and Leroy James, of Yukon; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister Alice Mae Henry, of Skiatook; one brother Lee Jenkins, of Flagstaff, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Ira Silvernail, two brothers, one sister, one great-grandson and one son-in-law. Funeral services were held Fri., April 20, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Reverend Jennifer Long officiating. Serving as casket bearers were Danny Haley, Charles Saner, Chris James, Michael Reif, Dustin Reif, Michael Mayberry, Jason Logsdon and Hunter Lott. Graveside services were held later that day at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Cleveland.
