All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Hominy Cemetery--Hominy OK The Hominy News Vol. XXIV, Number 5 Hominy, Osage County, Oklahoma Friday, Dec. 14, 1928 Front Page, Col.5 Death of Tom Slammons Funeral services fro Tom Slammons, aged 47 years, who died at the city hospital last Sunday night about 9:30 o'clock as a result of injuries received when the truck in which he was riding was struck by a Katy train near Wynona Thursday night of last week, were conducted at the Hominy Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon by Father Wm. Huffer, of Pawhuska. A large concourse of friends and relatives were present at the services. Interment was made in the Hominy cemetery. Mr. Slammons, a well known ranchman who resides about eight miles northwest of Hominy, was returning from Hominy to his home Thursday night, and his truck stalled on the railroad. He was hit by a fast night train. One of his limbs was broken in several places and he sustained severe body injuries. He was picked up by the train crew and brought to Hominy, where he was placed in the city hospital for treatment.
