Ruby Bernice Steele

Ruby Bernice Steele, 93, of Odessa, Tx. Passed away Mon. April 25, 2002, 
at her residence.  She was born April 6, 1909, to Frank and Mertie Thomas 
in Wynona.

She married Bernard L. Steele on Dec. 15, 1938, in Oklahoma.  They moved 
to Odessa in 1945.  She was a member of the T.O.P.S. club for many years 
and was active in Sunday school at First Baptist Church where she was a 
member.  She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and sewing.  She was an 
excellent seamstress.

Her husband, Bernard, preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter Cleta Terry and husband Wayne of Odessa, Tx.; 
brother, Lloyd Thomas and wife Margerite of Odessa, Tx.; sisters, Marcella 
Christie of Garland and Violet Quillen and husband Carl of Wynona; six 
grandchildren, Wayne Allen Terry Jr. and wife Mary, David Terry, Debbie 
Fanklin and husband Howard, Mike Terry, Ronnie Terry and Jason Terry and 
wife Billie; four great-grandchildren, Pam Terry, Kim Terry, Austin Terry 
and Blake Terry; a great-great grandson, Morgan Terry; and numerous nieces 
and nephews.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Fri. April 19, 2002, at Sunset Memorial 
Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Terry Jr. officiating.  Burial followed at 
Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were her grandson, Wayne Allen Terry Jr., Jason Terry, David 
Terry, Ronnie Terry, Mike Terry and her great grandson, Austin Terry.

Services were under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
