Shaffner of Wynona. Jean attended school first at the St. Louis Indian School in Pawhuska and Wynona Elementary School. She attended Hominy High School and graduated from St. Scholastica High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1944. She attended Oklahoma A&M College and was the only woman enrolled in the College of Engineering. Stillwater is where she met her husband, Vernon F. Stillwell. They were married at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pawhuska on August 2, 1947. Jean was a devoted volunteer for many years at St. John's Medical Center, in Tulsa, and later at Saint Francis Hospital, also in Tulsa. She worked at Christ the King Catholic Church as their secretary for many years until her retirement. Jean was a avid golfer and had 4 hole-in-one's to her credit. She is survived by her husband Vernon of Broken Arrow, daughter, Mary Plank, son-in-law Bobby, granddaughter Katie Daley and her husband Shaun of Jenks and granddaughter Emily Plank of Overland Park, KS. Jean was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother.
