His 58 ½ year marriage to his high school sweetheart was a never-ending love story, his love for his three daughters was unconditional, his 40 years at the Kerr-McGee refinery ending with Process Supervisor was his pride; his beautiful gardens were shared with scores of friends and acquaintances, his golf game, up until April, required his frequent, and often daily attention and there was indeed no place like home to a man whose family settled in Cleveland during the Oklahoma land run. He was honored to be named the Grand Marshal of the 1998 Pioneer Day Parade. He supported the Cleveland Tigers until his death and ran the clock at football games for 44 years. Many of his stories included his participation in sports, playing football in high school and throwing the javelin and discus and putting the shot in the Senior Olympics where he earned over 40 medals. He was a member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. Dick was born April 28, 1912 and passed away May 15, 2001. He is survived by three daughters, Dixie Lee Woolery, Benton, AR; Dani Lin Partin, Cyprus, CA; Debi Lou Boyles, Bartlesville; five grandchildren, Lissa Meadows, Benton, AR; Dick Swan Partin, Cyprus, CA; Dobi Lou Partin, Grays Lake, IL; Mindy Lou Sutterfield, Lawton; Michael David Graham Boyls, Cleveland; Four great-grandchildren, Erin and Mandi Woolery, Brittani Meadows, Michael David Graham Boyles II, one sister, Phylis Culbertson, Cleveland; brother- in-law, Bill Graham, Cleveland; numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves us with a tremendous sense of his love. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Osage County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/osage/osage.htm
