Thomas Birdie L. Thomas was born on December 25, 1903 to Emma Jane Clark Horine and Thomas Henry Horine in Brushy Mountain, Indian Territory. She entered into rest August 6, 2001 in Barnsdall. She was 97 years old. Birdie was a devoted Christian, Charter member of Wynona Pentecostal Holiness Church, Member of the Disabled American Veterans Post 19, member of the Order of Eastern Star. Birdie had a special touch with animals and enjoyed her early years as a trick rider and roper in local rodeos. Birdie is survived by one daughter, Joyce and husband Jay Moles of Wynona, OK; three sons, Virgil and wife Betty Thomas of Wynona, OK, tony and wife Darla Thomas of Oregon and Paul and Doreen Thomas of Burbank, OK; one brother, Charles and wife Leona Horine of Prue, OK, 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Birdie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Virgil Clifton "Joe" Thomas, one son, four brothers, three sisters, three grandsons, one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter.
