All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Bixby Cemetery-- Bixby OK The Hominy News - Progress Vol. 34, No. 8 Wednesday, February 20, 2002 Page 5 Lillie Marie Thrasher Lillie Marie Thrasher was born Sept. 5, 1918 in Jenks to John Harvey and Pearl Jeanette Hilton. She was raised and attended school in the Bixby/Leonard area. Upon completion of her schooling, Lillie married Eucellos Martin on Dec. 19, 1938 in Bixby. The couple made their home in Jenks and had four children: Harold, Norman, Jim and Joyce. Lillie worked for nearly 16 years at the Tulsa Osteopathic Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Eucellos, two sons Harold Edward and Norman Ray Martin, three brothers and two sisters. Lillie was married to Floyd G. Thrasher on March 23, 1963 in Tulsa. They made their home in Tulsa until the mid 1980's when they moved to Glenpool. In 1990, the couple moved to Cleveland. Floyd preceded her in death Aug. 31, 1990. Lillie was a member of the First Grace Church in Glenpool, additionally she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Tulsa, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veteran's of Foreign War and the Cleveland Garden Club. She was a past member of the Cleveland Rebekah Lodge. Her hobbies included working in her yard, gardening and maintaining her home. She was extremely fond of spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lillie passed away Sun., Feb. 17, 2002 at her home in Cleveland at the age of 83 years, five months and 12 days. Survivors include two children: Jim Martin of Jenks, Joyce Teter of Cleveland; a sister Pauline Hardin of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren Sherri Schuler of Cleveland, Shelley Branch of Hominy, Cindy Kell of Morris and Norman R. Martin II of Jenks; six great-grandchildren, Chris and Chelsea Schuler, Shelby and Cody Branch and Jacob and Emily Kell. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wed., Feb. 20, in the Chapel of Leonard-Marker Funeral Home in Bixby with burial at the Bixby Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
