Powell Memorial Cemetery--Hominy OK The Hominy News - Progress Vol. 34, No. 15 Wednesday, April 10, 2002 Page 5 Edith J. Hall Tilley Edith J. Hall Tilley, 85, of Hominy, died Sat., April 6, 2002 at the Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo, Ill. Services were held at 10 a.m. April 10, 2002 at the Assembly of God Church in Hominy. Burial was in the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday evening in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Cleveland. The former Edith Boswell was born Aug. 14, 1916 in Pottawatomie County, daughter of James and Eliza Hiser Boswell. She married Travis Hall on Nov. 3, 1932 in Hominy. Travis preceded her in death May 25, 1976. Then June 7, 1978 in Wynona, Edith was united in marriage to Buck Tilley and he preceded her in death May 14, 2001. Edith worked on the family farm, then later began working as a cook at the Hominy Public Schools as well as for Munsingwear and the Senior Citizens. She was also very active in the First Assembly of God church of Hominy, where she taught the Junior Girls Sunday School Class and was President of the Women's Ministries. Edith moved to Geneseo, Ill. in March, 2001 to live with her son. She attended the Geneseo Assembly of God Church there. Surviving Edith are: Tome and wife Gloria Hall of Geneseo, Ill.; daughter Clara and husband Charlie Hudspeth of Phoenix, Az.; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; sisters Winnie Howell of Republic, Mo. and Paula Shook of Yuma, Az.; and brother James Boswell of Billings, Mo. Proceeding her in death were her parents, two husbands, Travis Hall and Buck Tilley, a son J. D.
