Powell Memorial Cemetery--Hominy OK The Hominy News - Progress Vol. 38, No. 52 Wednesday December 25, 2002 Mary Patricia Trumbly mary patricia Trumbly was born October 29, 1940 in Tulsa. She passed away December 17, 2002. A life long resident of Hominy, Mary Pat was the daughter of Pat and mae Penn Trumbly and the granddaughter of Albert and Dora Penn and George and Blanche Trumbly. Mary Pat was a 1961 graduate of Hominy Public Schools. She started out as a licensed cosmetologist. She opened and operated her own business. She was CLEET certified security guard and certified EMT. She had attended Bacone College in Muskogee. She was a member of the native American Church. She attended Friends Church and wa later confirmed into the Catholic Church and was a member of the St. Joseph's Parish. mary Pat's great love were her children, grandchildren, and visiting with friends. She led a full and active life in addition to raising her children. Mary Pat is survived by her son Cory Harlan and wife Kay of Stillwater and four daughters Natalie Holt and husband Kenneth of Hominy, Belinda Lasley of Hominy, Marsha Harlan of Tahlequah, and Oney Bobbette Harlan of Hominy, and eight grandchildren, two sisters Evelyn Taylor of Bartlesville, and Oney Kay Timmis of Lidall, KS. Mary Pat was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers George Otis Trumbly, Bob Leon Trumbly, Charles Frances Trumbly, and Patrick Monroe Trumbly Jr. Native American Services for Mary Pat were held Fri. Dec. 20 2002 at 8:30 a.m. at her home officiated by Harry Roy RedEagle. Catholic mass followed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Father Bruce Brosnahan. Serving as Casket Bearers were Brent Maker, George Trumbly, Jon Trumbly, Jim Timmis, Jim Hopper, and Jess Hopper. Mary was laid to rest at A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery.
