Obituary for Zilpha Jane Thomason Published Thursday, March 5, 1914 Hominy News-Republican, Hominy, OK Zilpha Jane, wife of Wm. A. Thomason, died at her home in the north part of Hominy, March 2, 1914, aged 75 years, two months and two days. Zilpha Jane Baker was born in Clark County Illinois, January 28, 1839. She was married to Wm. A. Thomason October 14, 1866. To them have been born seven children, four of whom with the husband survive her. Mrs. Thomason was a member of the Presbyterian Church and lived a God-fearing life, doing the tasks set before her in a conscientious way. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother, and a good neighbor. Her work was well done and the reward of a right life awaited her. The funeral services were held at the residence on March 3, Rev. Wilson officiating and the remains were laid to rest in the Hominy cemetery, to await the judgment day. The bereaved family havethe sympathy of the entire community in their hour of sorrow.
