The facts of the shooting… Switzer and Dutch Maze… saw [C. F.] Edens driving south… the officers thought Edens possibly had liquor in his car… proceeded to follow him… came upon Edens while he was getting his car into the garage and told him to get out… Edens got out of the car on Maze’s side and it is stated, shot Switzer almost the same time he got out… Maze called the ambulance and headquarters, but by the time either arrived Switzer was dead… funeral services for Switzer will be held next Tuesday from the Johnson undertaking parlors. The date had to be set for then on account of the inability of relatives who live in Washington, to get here sooner. .
