The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ THOMAS "JACK" PRICE OCNS - September 19, 2002 - Funeral services for Thomas William "Jack" Price, 86, of Sperry, Oklahoma were held Thursday, September 12, 2002 at Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Skiatook, Oklahoma with Pastor M.L. Teel officiating. Interment at Pawhuska (Oklahoma) Cemetery was under the direction of Peters- Stumpff Funeral Home with graveside service provided by the Brookside Masonic Lodge. Jack was born July 25, 1916, in Mabbeldean, Texas to Arnold E. and Vallie (Shephard) Price and passed away September 9, 2002 at his residence in Sperry. He was a graduate of {the now defunct} Wildhorse High School. July 3, 1940, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma Jack married Ruby Iris Love. In 1947 they moved to Tulsa and, in 1970, to Sperry, Oklahoma. Ruby preceded him in death on October 15, 2000. Jack worked for thirty-five years as a plant maintenance supervisor for McDonald Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Long Beach, California. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying and hunting dove and quail. He was a handyman/craftsman and enjoyed playing the harmonica and also had a sense of humor. He was a member of the Brookside Masonic Lodge where he served as Master in 1966 and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also a Knight Commander of the Court of Honor. Jack is survived by one daughter, Vallie Colledge of Ramona, Oklahoma; two sons, Tom Price of Tulsa and Forrest Price of Sperry; two brothers, Kenneth H. Price and Louie Gene Price, both of Barnsdall, Oklahoma; five sisters, Edna L. Thomas of Tulsa, Irene VanBrunt and Ilene Price both of Chelsea, Oklahoma, Frances Pugh of Owasso, Oklahoma and Bonnie Barnett of Barnsdall; four grandchildren, Shane O. Colledge (overseas), Scott A. Colledge of Skiatook, Danny Price and Jenny Price both of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and three great-grandchildren, Shelby, Abigail and Benjamin Colledge. In addition to his wife, Ruby, Jack was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud and Bob, a sister, Virginia and a granddaughter, Sandra Lynn Colledge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Francis Hospice.
