Richard Charles Willcox

Richard Charles Willcox, 67 years of age passed away on June 1, 2001 at 
his home west of Casper, WY.

He was the only son of Alvie Charles and Lillian Allean Davis Willcox.  
Richard or 'Dick' as most of his friends affectionately called him, was 
born Northeast of Hominy, in Osage County, on November 19, 1933.

His younger years were spent around the Hominy area.  He started school 
at Sunset School Northeast of Hominy until the family moved to Hallett, 
where he graduated from Hallett High School at the age of 17.

He bought and sold cattle for awhile and also worked on oil rigs before 
deciding to become a truck driver.  He drove trucks for 48 years before he 
retired and to become a rancher a couple of years ago.  He drove for Teton 
Homes of Casper, Direct Transit of Sioux City, IA, and James McIntosh 
Trucking of Casper, WY before his retirement.  He had been a residet of 
Casper, WY since 1971.

Richard is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Ann Hank and her husband of 
Alma, GA and one step-daughter, Christina Raab Hudson of Casper, WY; four 
grandchildren Lance Corporal Patrick Hutcheson, a marine stationed at Camp 
Lajune, NC, Timothy Bradwell of Elizabeth, CO, Bion Charles-Lee Hank and 
Morgan Leigh-Anne Hank of Alma, GA.

He is also survived by four sisters, Betty Newman of Casper, WY, Arletta 
Henderson of Tulsa, Roberta Johns of Monticello, AR, and Virginia McMillan 
of Grove, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and two aunts.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Wed., June 6, 2001 where he was 
put to rest in the family plot at the A. J. Powell Cemetery beside his 
father and mother.
