She entered into rest or August 11, 2001 in Hominy. She was 74 years, 11 months, and 19 years old. Matty was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Wynona and an active member of the Wynona Round Up Club. She loved quilting and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Matty is survived by her two daughters, Vickie and husband Bob Prater, and Melissa and husband Kevin Funkhouser all of Hominy; one daughter-in-law, Florene Yates of Wynona; two brothers, John Robinson of Bakersfield, CA and Richard Robinson of Alva; one sister, Nancy Pipes of Bossier City, LA; three sister-in-laws Bea Robinson of Hominy, Lorrene Robinson of Cleveland, and Carol Robinson of Phoenix, AZ., six grandchildren, five great grandchildren; numerous other relatives. Matty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Yates, one son Lee Yates, four sisters, June Standridge, Betty Jo Catter, Jean Meiers, and Zoe Billouise, four brothers, Cowboy Robinson, George Robinson, Jess Robinson, and Ralph Robinson. Services for Matty were 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Wynona First Baptist Church. Reverend Terry Jarrard officiated the services. Serving as casket escorts, were Jason King, Paul Barnes, Travis Barbee, James Garrett, Chad Stock and Shaun Stock. Honorary casket escorts were David Frazier, John Plumbleigh, and John Israel.
