She was born in Osage County on July 19, 1929 the oldest of 10 children of Ora Dixon Lott and Russel Lott. Viola spent her early years in Dardanelle, Ark. She was kept out of school to help raise her younger brothers and sisters and to help on the farm. Most of her adult life was spent in Hominy and Pawhuska, where she met and married Roscoe martin. The last 10 years of her life was spent in Anaheim, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her four children, Linda Maloy, R. J. Martin, Jr. of Tulsa, Teddy martin of Grand Junction, Co., and Marilyn Martin of Long Beach, CA., 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, six brothers, J. T. Lott of Hominy, Bill Lott of Taft, CA, Charles and Carl Lott of Tulsa, Richard Lott of Oklahoma City, Paul Lott of Sapulpa, three sisters Dorothy Smith of Yukon, Leona Goodman of Midwest City, and Wanda Bohannan of Colorado, also several nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Viola will be held at 11 a.m. Sat. Nov. 30, 2002 at Powell Funeral Home Chapel.
