She was born June 24, 1964 in Hominy, Oklahoma, the daughter of Roger and Sophia (Maker) High and attended Hominy Schools and Tri-County Tech in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, moving to Pawhuska in 1998. An Osage Indian, she was a member of The Native American Church and The Osage Indian Baptist Church. Surviving are: two brothers, Randolph Lookout and Ira Lookout, both of Pawhuska; five sisters, Sophia Lookout, Libby Lookout, Deda Bighorse and Debra High all of Pawhuska and Mildred High of Hominy and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Virginia was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Louise High, her parents and a sister, Henrietta Lookout. She will lie in state at the Wakon Iron Community Building in Indian Camp, Pawhuska where services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday. Burial will be in The A.J. Powell Cemetery, Hominy under the direction of Johnson Funeral Directors.
