Services were performed by Ministers Barry Gott, David Downing and M.E. Anthony Jr. with intement in the Ethel Reece Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Barnsdall. Casket escorts were Dale Eastwood, Kevin Anthony, Bobby Hatfield, Jimmy Hatfield, Mike Moore and John Hibdon. Honorary casket escorts were Gene Long and Steve Meyers. Mr. Smith was born June 9, 1963, at Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to William M. and Alice Ann (Starks) Smith. He was reared and received his education in Avant and Barnsdall, graduating with the Barnsdall High School class of 1981. Following graduation, he has been employed in the family business, Smith Well Service, Inc. He was married to Cheryl Cornett on March 19, 1987, in Pawhuska. Mr. Smith has made his home in Avant most of his life. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Smith of the home in Avant, two sons, William Allen Smith and Kenneth Ray Smith, both of the home; his parents, Bill and Ann Smith of Barnsdall; one step-daughter, Carmen Spencer of Pawhuska; one step-son, Dustin Cornett of Avant; one brother, Andy Smith of Avant; two sisters, Debra Pinney of Bartlesville and Cathy Wilson of Auburn, Kansas, and three step-children.
