The parents had stepped out of the room when they heard her screams, and rushing in, a horrible sight met their eyes. The child had been putting cobs in the king heater and her dress had been drawn in by the flames by the draught, and when they reached her she was in a sheet of flames and a little 2-year old sister was standing holding to her. The child lived until four o’clock in the afternoon, when its spirit took its flight. The bereaved parents have the sympathies of the community.
