Mrs. Scott AUDRAIN brought to town yesterday one dozen turkeys which she sold to Coxey PRICE for 12 ½ c per pound, the 12 weighing 236 pounds and netted the lady $29.50, or a fraction over $2.45 each. How is that for fine birds and how is that for a good market? LOCAL NEWS John McWATERS’ baby has been quite sick this week. Married—at the Methodist parsonage last evening, Mr. Jno. D. MOORE and Miss Francis FRELLICK, both of Oseuma. Jim WALKER was over from Miami Saturday to see his little boys. Mrs. S.V. WALLEN orders the News to her daughter, Mrs. C.E. DENNIS, at Tulsa. Miss HALL, school marm at Shiloh, visited home folks at Miami, Saturday and Sunday. Frank FARRAR, living south of town, shipped out this week for a point in the west part of the state. Earnest VENICE has moved out on Hudson Creek and wants the little home paper, of course. O.P.M. ZIMMENNER is said to have the Sheriff bee buzzing in his bonnet. HUDSON CREEK Jessie JAMES spent Sunday with Elsie BRICE. Jack HENDRICKSON spent Sunday at Mr. GARMAN’s. Lucy NIDIFFER visited uncle Dave HARLAND’s Sunday. Len CONNER and family visited at Narcissa Sunday. Mrs. John EDENS and children visited at JAMES’s Sunday. Jim GARMON went to Wyandott last week to visit his parents.
