NATION and Frank RILEY purchased the stock of goods of I.S. STELLE, on the east side. The stock was invoiced at once and then new men in charge bidding for business Monday morning. The stock is to be enlarged and rearranged and new goods are already pouring in for the new firm. As soon as they get fairly well stocked up they will have something to say through the News. Watch for their ad. LOCAL NEWS Miss Ana ROSE visited home folks Monday. Joe ALBERTY came in from Stillwell Monday. W.S. NIKSCH of Route 1 is a new reader of the News. Mr. and Mrs. PAGE visited Seneca Sunday last. Mrs. WILLIAM and Miss Myrtle KELLY were Afton visitors Monday. N.C. GALLEMORE has had a force of men laying water mains this week. Mrs. MARCUM and Mrs. Nora DENNIS visited in Afton Saturday and Sunday. An infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Gus SPARKMAN was buried at the cemetery Monday. Mrs. D.F. SHOE of Nebraska was the guest of Mrs. PAGE the latter part of last week. H.H. FRAZIER, J.P. THOMPSON and R.J. BOYD were up from Afton Monday, watching Fairland grow. M.T. MABREY returned from Schell City Monday. If he had his auto he had it in his suitcase. John ROBERTSON, aged 61, living south of town for the past six years, died Friday of last week and was buried at Hickory Grove Saturday evening. Mrs. Dave HARLIN and Mrs. Lucy NIDIFFER were Vinita visitors Saturday. Misses Edith and Lillian MYERS and Flossie LONG were shopping in Afton Saturday. Wm. BUSH has been confined to his bed this week. A.A. ROBERTS and wife returned Sunday from a visit to North Missouri. Mrs. H.S. VAUGHN returned Wednesday from Muskogee where she had been to visit her daughter, Mrs. GILBERT. A wireless from Muskogee says that a baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. B.H. GILBERT Feb. 11, weight 8 + pounds. J.F. ENGLAND from three miles east, walked into town and home again yesterday. He reported the roads impassable for teams. OGEECHE NEWS (too late for last week) Mr. and Mrs. ADAMS and family and Mrs. ANGEL visited Mr. ADAMS near Ottawa Sunday. Miss Maud CROCKETT spent Saturday and Sunday with Mrs. WIFORD. Mr. Link WHIPKEY spent Saturday night with Arthur ADAMS. Mr. and Mrs. BROWN and Miss Lily MOLDER visited Mr. and Mrs. BEASON Sunday. Miss Lula PARKER visited with home folks Sunday. Miss Eula BRIDSTINE spent a few hours with Miss Edith WIFORD Sunday. Miss Opal FLINT spent Sunday with Miss Maud CLINTON.
