HUDSON returned last Tuesday evening from San Angeles, Texas, with the remains of her daughter, Miss Oma, who only lived a few days after their arrival there. They went to that climate as a last resort, to try to benefit the young lady’s health, but the great white plague had its clutches too firmly fastened upon her young life and she passed away last Sunday. The train arrived too late for a funeral service, but a short service was held at the grave, conducted by Eld. RILEY. Interment was made in the city cemetery. Miss Oma was 15 years, 3 months and 7 days old, was a bright young lady and had a host of friends here. The mother has the sympathies of all our people. They were accompanied here by a number of relatives from Sapulpa, and all returned Wednesday evening. CARD OF THANKS Mrs. C. HUDSON requests the News to say for her that she is very grateful for the many kind acts and tokens of sympathy extended to her by the Fairland people over the loss of her daughter, and will forever remember them for their kindness. OLD SETTLER GONE After three weeks of suffering with pneumonia, Aunt Katy STRINGER passed to her reward on Tuesday of this week at about 6 o’clock p.m. at the ripe old age of 74 years. Funeral ervices were held at the Saints’ church on the day following at 2 p.m. conducted by Eld. J.T. RILEY, after which interment was made in the city cemetery. Aunt Katy was an old settler in this community, having lived here about forty years. She was one of the best known and best liked women of the community. She was a member of the Latter Day Saints’ church, had been married four times and outlived all four husbands. Everything possible was done to restore her to health but to no avail and all we have left today is a fond memory of a sainted old mother. A NEW CLUB ORGANIZED Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Scott CAMPBELL and Miss MILBOURN gave a Kensington at the home of Mrs. MILBOURN. After the business session, the ladies were invited to the dining room, where a two course chafing dish luncheon was served. PERFORMED AN OPERATION Drs.
