Friday, March 29, 1912 Mrs. Phebus Dead At about five o’clock last Tuesday morning occurred the death of Mrs. PHEBUS, wife of our townsman W.A. PHEBUS, aged 44 years, after an illness of about 13 days of pneumonia. The family had lived in Fairland something over a year, having formerly come here from Cedar Co., Mo. A short funeral service was held at the cemetery, conducted by Rev. M.N. DAVIS of the Baptist church, on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased had been a member of the Christian church for 27 years. She leaves a husband and six children, the youngest being only four years old, and is also sick. They have the sympathy of the community. John A. Hall Dead John A. HALL, aged something over fifty years old, father of W.P. and R.M. HALL, died at the home of his son W.P. on Friday night of last week, after a very brief illness of pneumonia. Mr. HALL had been to see his son Bob on Wednesday evening and was taken sick after his return home and only lived two days and nights. His remains were embalmed and shipped to Pea Ridge Arkansas for interment. He was a man of many friends and his sudden death was quite a shock to the community.
