Friday, May 10, 1912 Building and Improving J.A. JONES is pushing along the work on his new residence on the south side. Uncle Ab HARLIN’s last new residence in the east end is about ready for occupancy. Sam MAY’s new brick residence is a nice addition to that part of town. Rolland HILL’s new six room house is completed. Charley STELL’s new home on the south side is a nice little home. Price JAMES has his nice new residence under good headway. The contractors have turned over John CHAMBERS’ new house to him and he can now move in. Tom MABREY is rushing his new residence as fast as possible. Dick WOODSON has his residence about ready for occupancy. Miss Nell RYCROFT’s new cottage on the south side is nearing completion. John GOINS has his second new bungalow just about ready for some good family to move in. J.W. RUSSELL is building a cottage in the north part of town. Oseuma Store Burned The whole business block, consisting of one little store, burned at Oseuma, at about 2 o’clock yesterday morning. The fire department could not cope with the flames, and the number of mice and rats burned can not be ascertained at the time of going to press. Mrs. Jessie HUDSON visited her father, Mr. Jake SAMPLES, who was hurt in a runaway last Monday. Ogeeche News Mr. and Mrs. Bill SPARKMAN spent Sunday at Mr. and Mrs. Ave MARSHELS. Rubin AUDRAIN had business at his faarm near Ogeechee, Monday. Miss Edith and Dorthy WYFORD spent Sunday with Laura TRESLER. Mrs. ADAMS and Mrs. BLACKWELL spent Sunday evening with Mrs. WHIPKEY. There was a family reunion at Mr. FLINT’s Sunday evening. Ethen VENIS is home on a visit from Cheauteau. Eula BRITENSTINE visited at WYFORD’s last week. Local News Mrs. M.B. LADD and son Oscar came in from Phoenix, Ariz., Saturday. J.D. CROCKETT’s two little girls from Afton, were visiting here the latter part of last week. Gus ALLEN and wife left for their home at Wynoka, Monday, after two weeks visit here and Wyandott. Geo and Elmer POWERS of Southwest City are visiting at Clarence WALLS. Miss Lisle DUMAS has accepted a position at the soda fountain of the Fairland Drug Co. Mrs. Wm. McCULLOUGH returned to her home in Miami, Sunday, accompanied by Miss Eula MAY. F.L. WARREN and wife, W.C. FREEMAN and wife visited Mr. and Mrs. Lred WARREN at Todd last Sunday. Jim MILLER has moved his barber chair in with Sam May, and the three chair shop now looks quite citified. Rev. DAVIS has been enjoying a visit from his brother of Wetumka. Fox McGHEE has a new automobile. It sounds better. Bige CHANDLER is sporting a new team of dapple greys. They make a fancy team. Leonard CONNER, returned to Fairland last night after a visit with his brother O.L. CONNER of this place. – Wednesday’s Chieftain. Mrs. Dr. CLARK and son, Andrew, left Sunday for Supulpa, where she will nurse a friend who is sick. She expects to be gone about two weeks.
