I try to correct the spelling of words besides names but now you're probably seeing a lot of typos because I no longer have a spell checker for some strange reason.] The Fairland News, Fairland, Ottawa Co., OK Friday, May 3. 1912 Little Lost Son Little Vyrle JAMES, the nine months old son of Mr. and Mrs. J.P. JAMES, after being sick practically all its life, died last Monday morning. Funeral services were held at the Saints church on Tuesday at 11, conducted by Eld. J.T. RILEY, and interment was made in the City Cemetery. The News extends sympathies to the bereaved parents. Local News Prof. JACKSON and family moved to their farm south of Vinita, Tuesday. Dave STARNES of Lebanon, Mo., has been visiting his brother, Clint, of this place. Misses Ethel and Edna GANN of near Southwest City, Mo., are visiting L.D. DARNELL. Miss Dollie MILBOURN was shopping in Joplin, last Sat. Mrs. Cal. JAMES and daughter, Miss Fanny, went to Vinita, Tuesday. Houston JAMES and family of Vinita, visited in Fairland a few days the first of the week. Mrs. And Mrs. TAYLOR of Kansas City, have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. EMMERT the past week. Ira THORNHILL tried to feed his hand through the job press last Tuesday, and as a reesult got two or three fingers pretty badly mashed. However, his wounds are not as bad as they might have been, and he will soon be ready to type again. Col. BUSH advises us that John FORD is feeling very much elated at having received encouraging news from Lucile. Mrs. J.W. RUSSEL called yesterday and had the News sent to her brother-in-law, D.M. WATSON, at Francis, Okla. Lon LAMPKINS filed the first deed in the recorders office last Saturday. N.D. ELFORD to the M.O. & G. – Miami Live Wire. Aurora News Mr. and Mrs. Jim CHAPPELL folks spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. AUSTIN. The School closed Friday and Miss Lizzie AUSTIN graduated, was promoted to the ninth grade. Mr. SPARSE near Hickory Grove died Saturday and was buried Sunday evening at the cemetery. Mrs. Marvin TYLOR spent Sunday evening with Mrs. JONES. Mr. and Mrs. Coleman JONES came down Wednesday to spend the rest of the week with home folks. Hudson Creek Will DENNIS and family visited at C. CONNERS last Saturday and Sunday. Jessie HUDSON and family called on Jim GARMANS
