Butler 1947-2005 FAIRLAND, Okla. - Raymond L. Butler, Fairland farmer, died at his home, Thursday, January 20, 2005, after an illness. He was 58. Mr. Butler was born on January 14, 1947, at Augusta, Texas to Arlis and Mabel Gale Butler. The family moved to Fairland in 1952. Mr. Butler was graduate of Fairland High School. He was a veteran, having served in Vietnam while in the U.S. Army. Survivors include: a brother, Bobby Joe Butler of Garland, Texas; two sisters, Deby Campbell of Rogers, Ark. and Patricia Jones and husband, Calvin of Miami, Okla.; two aunts, Lula Harding and Agnes Martin; two nieces, six nephews, and many cousins. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2005 at Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland, Okla. with Roland Adcock officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Cox, James Sherard, Gary Hill, Jared Campbell, Rick Oakley, and Marty Oakley. Burial will be at Sulphur Bend Cemetery with the Grove Ritual Team performing military rites. A visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Suday, at the funeral home. The family has requested donations to the Sulphur Bend Perpetual Care, in care of the funeral home, in lieu of flowers.
