Cemetery--Miami OK The Grove Sun Daily Willa Wanda "Billie" Doty 1909-2005 MIAMI, Okla. - Willa Wanda " Billie" Doty of Miami died at 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at the Osborne Care & Rehab Center after a long illness. She was 95. Mrs. Doty was born on September 11, 1909 in Fairland, Okla. to Robert Eli and Mary Elizabeth (Miller) Dry, Sr. She graduated from Miami High School in 1927. She and her husband owned and operated Doty’s Grocery in Miami for several years. In 1942, she joined the First Baptist Church of Miami. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. On June 29, 1929, she married Otto L. Doty in Miami. He preceded in death on May 5, 1965. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, four brothers, and one granddaughter, Debbie Witcher. Survivors include: one son, John Doty and his wife, Wynona of Miami; one daughter, Barbara and her husband, Dr. Charles Allard of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandsons Chris Witcher and his wife Kim, and Mike Witcher, both of Atlanta, Ga.; three step-grandchildren, Mendy Childers of Miami, Christy Dareing of Joplin, Mo., and Mike Dareing of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2005 from 1-2 p.m. at Cooper-Alehouse Funeral Home. The service will on Friday, January 28, 2005 at Cooper-Alehouse Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Leon Week officiating. Burial will follow in G.A.R. Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Martin Knudsen, Mike Dareing, Jack Trask, Jerry Atkins, Don Marks, and Paul Williams.
