THOMAS FRANKLIN ECKERT 1944-2005

MIAMI, Okla. – Thomas Franklin Eckert, 60, of Miami passed away 
Saturday, April 9 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, 
Missouri following a sudden illness.

Eckert was born September 13, 1944 in Decatur, Illinois to Frank 
Henry Eckert and Phyllis Bernice (Stevens) Eckert. He attended and 
graduated from high school in Decatur. He was self-employed, working 
in floor installation.

Eckert was united in marriage to Virginia M. Dain on June 5, 1974 at 
Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They recently moved to Miami from Baton 
Rouge.

Surviving family members include his wife Virginia of the home, and 
three sisters-in-law and their husbands, Alice and Bill Erwin of 
Miami, Mary Ann and Ben Beebout of Miami, and Joyce and Jim Terrell 
of St. Louis, Missouri.

A private family gathering was held at the home of Alice and Bill 
Erwin in Miami on Sunday, April 10.
