All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::East Lawn Palms Cemetery--Tucson AZ Tucson Citizen, Tucson AZ Goodwin, Viola Elaine (Hunter), 86, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2003 in Tucson. She was born March 20, 1917 in Picher, Oklahoma the daughter of Jesse and Nannie (Womack) Hunter. Viola moved to Tucson in 1935, she was employed by Safeway Foods as a Meat Wrapper for 25 years. She is survived by her six siblings, Mary L. Newlin, Irma R. Sigman, Raymond E. (Jeri) Hunter, Penny Ganje (John Henry) Barton, Nan (Jim) Irby, Charles (Mary) Stout. A step-daughter-in-law, Isabel Goodwin and six step-grandchildren, DeAnn, Kathy, Glenn (Peggy), Steve (Betty Jo), Carl and Laura and many nieces and nephews. Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn A. Goodwin and four brothers, Jesse Eugene Hunter, Jr., Howard Hunter, Baby John Hunter and William Hunter. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd. with Rev. Ray Wardlaw officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Devon Gables Patient Needs Fund, 6150 E. Grant Rd. Tucson, AZ 85712 for their wonderful care of our sister or the Casa de la Luz Hospice Center, 400 W. Magee Rd. Tucson, AZ 85704.
