All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Arlington National Cemetery--Arlington VA Oregon Register Guard Tuesday, November 28, 2006 Wanda Hurtt SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at McKenzie Valley Presbyterian Church in Walterville for Wanda E. Hurtt of Springfield. She died Nov. 24 of congestive heart failure and cancer at age 85. She was born March 25, 1921, in Ottawa County, Oklahoma, to William and Nellie Wiles Cantwell. She married Alvin Hurtt on Oct. 27, 1945, in Springfield, Mo. She was an office and administrative worker at the Pentagon during World War II and later at the National Capital Council of Churches. She also was a math teacher's aide. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Maryann Hurtt of Elkhart Lake, Wis.; a son, James R. of Springfield; three sisters, Betty Brown of Battle Ground, Wash., Dean Matile of Canby and Joyce Wooten of Portland; a brother, Charles Cantwell of Roseburg; and two grandchildren. An infant son, James W., died previously. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. Arrangements by Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield. Remembrances to the church, P.O.
