All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::J M Bar Rancdh--Alvarado TX McNaughton, Bettye Lee Robinson 1918 - 2006 Bettye Lee Robinson McNaughton, 88, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully Sunday evening, Dec. 24, 2006, joining her husband for Christmas. Funeral: Services will be held privately. Burial: Mrs. McNaughton's cremated remains will be placed next to those of her husband, John, on the family plot at the J M Bar Ranch in Alvarado. Visitation: Her family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper. Memorials: In lieu of usual remembrances, consideration of contributions to Buckner Children and Family Services of Dallas or Happy Hill Farm in Granbury, in memory of Bettye, is suggested. Bettye Lee Robinson was a native of Miami, Okla., as was her husband, John, who preceded her in death just eight weeks ago. She was born Nov. 20, 1918, the daughter of John A. and Letha Lee Robinson. Bettye was a graduate of Stephens College before receiving a music degree from the University of Oklahoma, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. In Fort Worth, she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and was active with the youth at her church. Bettye helped to start Benevolence House, with which she was associated for many years. Her involvements included Buckner Children and Family Service, membership in P.E.O. and its CH chapter in Fort Worth, Easter Seal Society, International Students in the Baptist community, the Child Study Center and being a Rotary Ann. She and John enjoyed opening their beloved J M Bar Ranch in Alvarado to many individuals and groups for over 50 years. Survivors: Children, Linda McNaughton Burton and her husband, Larry, of Houston, John Allen McNaughton and his wife, Carolyn, of Alvarado, and LeeAnn McNaughton Hayes of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandchildren, Patrick Burton, Tim Burton and his wife, Courtney, Chris Burton and his wife, Laura, John Allen McNaughton Jr. and his wife, Mia, Allison McNaughton Edmonds and her husband, Brian, and Madolynn Lee McNaughton Hayes; and great-grandchildren, Jake and Kylee Burton, Carley Burton, John Allen McNaughton III and Cara Rylee Edmonds.
