Evans Creek Road, Wimer. Mrs. Pesterfield, 75, of Wimer, died Monday (Feb. 25, 2002) at her home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Providence, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504. She was born on Sept. 20, 1926, in Zincville, Okla. On Feb. 4, 1945, in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., she married Larry Pesterfield, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1949. Earlier family members had settled in the Applegate area in the 1850s. Mrs. Pesterfield enjoyed gardening, canning and wine making. In addition to her husband, survivors include: a son, Jerry, Danville, Calif.; a daughter, Linda Jo Browner, Glennallen, Alaska; two brothers, Ron Gregg, Loveland, Colo., and Don Gregg, Cave Springs, Ark.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
