Harvey WESTON south of town, a shrill sound broke the stillness of the night and aroused the venerable old divine, who has earned the title of "Matrimonial Minister," and after hurriedly dressing himself, made an investigation to ascertain the cause of the midnight wail. The investigation revealed the fact that Dillon HOLT and Miss Pearl VANN, both of Fairland, were in waiting, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Lucian LAMAR, and demanded that he exercise the authority in him vested and proceed to make them husband and wife. Of course Uncle Harve had no objections, and proceeded to tie the knot, and all was over. The midnight intruders quietly disappeared in the darkness and quietude was again supreme in the Weston home. The newly-weds came direct to town and to their home which the groom had prepared for his bride; while all Fairland was ignorant of the prank the youngsters were playing. On the following morning they arose, prepared and eat their first meal together. Monday morning found Dillon at the store as usual, while the young Mrs. Holt was going about her household duties, happy and contented. This young couple has grown up together from childhood, on the same street, their homes being in speaking distance, and they must surely know each other. Their marriage may be a little bit romantic, but it looks all right to us and if it suits them it is all right. We wanted to tell about their popularity, their industry, their accomplishments, their parentage, etc.; but space will not permit, so we will enclose it all in one sentence, "They’re Of Our Best," and let it go with our compliments.
