All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Woodland Cemetery--Cleveland OK Bunch, Elizabeth Elizabeth Bunch was born August 4, 1916 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Albert L. and Lula Mae Deuel. Elizabeth was raised and received her education in Cleveland, graduating from Cleveland High School in 1934. Upon graduation from high school, Elizabeth attended Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater for a year before being united in marriage to Case Bunch in August of 1937 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The couple made their initial home in Hobbs, New Mexico and then moved frequently throughout the next twenty-eight years as Mr. Bunch was employed by the Gulf Oil Company and relocated as needed by his company. The couple had two sons, Steven and Bruce. In 1967, they settled in Bakersfield, California. During the next several years, Elizabeth worked as a retail sales clerk at Sears and Broadway, two retail stores in the Bakersfield area. Case preceded her in death on February 2, 1981. Attending church and participating in church functions was always important in Elizabeth's daily walk with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As a youth, she attended and was a member of the First Christian Church in Cleveland and then later became a member of the Presbyterian Church. While residing in Bakersfield, Elizabeth was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church and participated in many church functions including assisting with the serving of the Lord's Supper. She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends and also enjoyed playing bridge. Elizabeth recently moved to Fort Worth, Texas where she passed away on Monday, February 6, 2006 at the age of eighty-nine years, six months and one day. In addition to her husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Thelma Chapman, Irene Jordan and Pauline Boyer; and a brother Merle Deuel. She is survived by two sons, Steven Bunch of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Bruce Bunch of Fort Worth, Texas. Funeral services were held February 9, 2006 at the Chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home, with Rev. George Boston officiating. Burial followed at Woodland Cemetery, in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
