Crook, age 88, Will be held Monday, January 28, 2002, at the Jennings, OK cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home of Cleveland, OK. Mrs. Crook died January 24, 2002 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care in Bastrop, LA. She was born October 24, 1913 in Dunnegan, MO to Henry Hoyt and Martha Harcum Purinton. She married Jess E. Crook on August 26, 1933, in Tulsa, OK. Mrs. Crook was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers; Harry Purinton of Sturgeon Bay, WI and Melvin Earl Purinton of Barrington, IL. She is survived by her son and his wife, Thomas L. Crook and Shelvia of Bastrop, LA; three grandchildren: Edward W. Crook, Alexandria, LA; William E. Crook, Bastrop, LA; and Clarissa Crook Gallo and her husband Brian of Warrensburg, MO, and one great granddaughter, Courtney D. Crook of Bastrop, LA. Also surviving are two nieces, two nephews and her sister-in-law, Frieda Purinton of Sturgeon Bay, WI.
