::Memorial Park Cemetery--Amarillo TX

John W. Carroll

John W. Carroll, 70, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 1, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home 
Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Dr. Gil Lain of 
Paramount Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park 
Cemetery.

Mr. Carroll was born in Skedee, Okla. He moved to Amarillo in 1957. 
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a truck driver before 
retiring.

He married Janet Smith in 1950 at Carlsbad, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Marilyn Fagan of Amarillo 
and Belinda Carroll of Creede, Colo.; a sister, Dorothy Fowler of 
Boxley, Ark.; and two grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to the Department of Veterans 
Affairs Medical Center.
