Elliott of the Pawnee community was taken by death Saturday, and funeral services were held Sunday. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Eckols Funeral Home, and interment was made in the Pawnee Cemetery. Mrs. Elliott was 60 years old at the time of her death. Survivors include her husband, two sons, J.H. Elliott and O.B. Elliott of Pawnee; three daughters, Mrs. Roscoe Turner of Pawnee, Mrs. W.O. Hart of Taft, and Mrs. O.J. Miner of Teague. Religious services were presided over by the Rev. H.B. Gist of the Church of Christ of San Antonio. Mrs. Elliott suffered a stroke Thursday and died two days later. Mrs. Elliott was born in 1877 in Arkansas. She was married in 1896 to John Elliott, and in 1913 came to Texas, where they have made their home at Pawnee ever since. Active pallbearers were K.M. Elliott, Roy Elliott, S.C. Elliott, H.H. Elliott, Lawrence Elliott, Foy McCarn, Oscar Johnson, and Bernard Hinkle.
