Ford a pioneer of this place passed away at this home 11//2 miles South of Quay Wednesday, March 6, 1918. Mr. Ford was a native of Germany and came to the United States with his parents at the age of four years, He has resided here on his homestead 24 years. He Has been in ailing health for several years and has underwent two operations but only gave him temporary relief until the grim reaper called him to the great unknown from which none returneth. He leave a devoted wife, nine children several grandchildren two uncles and two brothers to mourn his untimely loss. He was an affectionate husband a kind father a good moral man and a neighbor to all and will be greatly missed in his home and community. He was buried at Quay by the Masonic Lodge. Funeral at the home conducted by Rev. Clark.
