All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery--Bakersfield CA Denzil (Rex) Fender.pawnee May 31, 1928-May 29, 2003 Services: Wed., June 4, 9:30 a.m. Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2739 Panama Ln., Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Larry Weatherly and the Veterans Association of Kern County will officiate. Rex was born in Keystone, Oklahoma where he spent a lot of his younger days before he and his parents and brother moved to Washington State. Rex served his country for two years in the United States Navy as a radar man aboard ship. After returning home, he then married Eileen Balltuff in April of 1948 and then that day they became soulmates for the rest of their lives. After 55 years of marriage, Rex was called on by the good Lord to come and join Him and he went. He was a truck driver for 51 years and last worked for Gifford Construction and Granite Construction. He lived in Kern County since 1967. Rex knew he would be missed by Eileen, his wife of 55 years; his son, Bill; and daughter, Connie. Rex was also blessed with four grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a lifetime of friendships that he made everywhere he went.
