::Dumas Cemetery--Dumas TX

Jim Heppel

DUMAS - Jim Heppel, 63, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Dumas Cemetery with 
the Rev. J. McGaughy, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. 
Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Mr. Heppel was born in Skedee, Okla., on Jan. 6, 1940. He married 
Trudy Reamy on Oct. 24, 1959, in Blackburn, Okla. He had been a Dumas 
resident for 27 years. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for 
Diamond Shamrock before retiring. He attended Temple Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Heppel.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carrie McCreary of Frisco 
and Sherri Blue of Dumas; four brothers, Daniel Heppel of Stillwater, 
Okla., Jerry Heppel and Dale Heppel, both of Cushing, Okla., and 
Buster Heppel of Sherman; a sister, Naomi Bode of Stillwater; and 
three grandsons, Justin, Michael and Braxton.
