All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Portales Cemetery--Portales NM Amarillo Globe News 16 Oct 1997 Bud Hodges CLOVIS, N.M. - Bud Hodges, 80, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Wheeler Mortuary Chapel of Portales. Burial will be in Portales Cemetery. Mr. Hodges was born in Pawnee County, Okla., and raised in Glencoe, Okla. He moved to Farwell, Texas, in 1936. He married Lola Taylor in 1939 at Roswell. They moved to Texico, where he worked for Roberts Seed Co. In 1942, he joined the Army and served until 1945 in Africa and Italy. In 1946, Mr. Hodges moved his family to Portales, where he managed the Roberts Seed Co. office. Later he bought the company and operated it another 10 years before moving to Clovis around 1970. After moving, he began working at Goden West Seed Co., at Texico, formerly Roberts Seed. He retired in 1981. His wife preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Charles Wayne Hodges of Houston and Stephen Taylor Hodges of Clovis; a brother, Robert Hodges of Fairfax, Okla.; a sister, Nola Vern Ellington of Glencoe; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Pawnee County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/pawnee/pawnee.html
