POTTS OCNS - June 9, 2002 - Inez E. Potts, 88, was born June 10, 1913 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the daughter of R.W. and Elizabeth Hattie Brisco. Inez was reared and received her education in the Fort Smith area. Shortly after graduation, Inez was married to Roy L. Potts and the couple established their first home in Fort Smith where they resided until 1955 when they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where Inez began her career with the Tulsa Public School system. She worked for nearly twenty years retiring in 1975 as print shop supervisor. Shortly after her retirement, the couple moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma. Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, on July 31, 1981 and she continued to reside in the Cleveland area until her death, Friday, June 7, 2002 at the age of eighty-eight years, eleven months and twenty-seven days. For many years, Inez attended Victory Christian Center in Tulsa. After becoming homebound due to health reasons, she relied on TBN as her spiritual source and church family. Inez loved to quilt and sew, enjoyed the outdoors, working in her garden and fishing whenever the opportunity arose. In addition to her husband, Inez was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Raymond, Vester and Delno and three sisters, Pearl, Viola and Rose. Survivors include her daughter, Delpha Brewer of Terlton, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Cathy Felder of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Kevin Brewer of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Kelly Brewer of Terlton and Kimberly Brewer of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren, Joseph Felder of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rebecca Felder and Michael Felder of Broken Arrow, Jacob Brewer and Ryan Brewer of Cleveland, Oklahoma and Micaela Brewer of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at the Chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Edens officiating.
