Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Kyle Streun, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park by Rix Funeral Directors. Mr. Manley was born Feb. 5, 1934, in Blackburn, Okla., to Emmitt V. Manley and Elizabeth Laura Duckworth Manley. He began his teaching career in Adrian, Canyon and Channing before he started teaching at Hereford High School from 1972 until he retired in 1992. Survivors include two sons, Kent Edlin of Pueblo, Colo., and Mike Edlin of Santa Rosa, Calif.; a daughter, Terri Highsmith of Lubbock; two brothers, Max Manley of Lubbock and Don Manley of Plainview; a sister, Sandra Manley of Denver; and seven grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Parkinson's Research, 4102 24th St., Suite 501, Lubbock, TX 79410.
