Visitation: None Service: May 01, 2002 Cemetery: Woodland Cemetery Esther Loree Porter was born January 10, 1935 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Clark H. and Hazel L. (Anderson) Steward. Esther was raised and received her education in Ponca City and later graduated from Ponca City High School with the Class of 1952. Shortly after Esther graduated from school she was united in marriage to Hooley Porter in Ponca City on December 5, 1952. Esther and Hooley moved to many different places due to his enlistment with the United States Army. In November of 1973 they moved to Cleveland and have made their home here since. Esther had an extensive collection of Precious Moments. She loved to work in her flower garden, read as well as could make good cookies. Esther was a member of the First Christian Church and lived her life for the Lord. Esther passed away April 29, 2002 at her home in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years 3 months and 19 days. Survived by her Husband, Hooley Porter, of the home; daughter, Kristen and husband Stan Alexander of Houston, Texas; son, Michael Porter of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two brothers, Lloyd and Eddie Stewart of Catoosa, Oklahoma. Services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary of the First Christian Church with services officiated by Pastor Dakota Rush. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
