Dobbs, of Jennings was born January 24, 1919 to Joseph and Liuzy Francis (Oliphant) Willhite in Wright in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Sylvia was raised and received her education in a one room school called Green Forrest School in Wright County, Missouri. On November 11, 1937 she was united in marriage to Dee. J. Dobbs in Hartville, Missouri. After the couple was married they made their home in Coweta, Oklahoma.. To their union they raised four sons, Eldridge Wolf, Ronnie J. Dobbs, Bennie Joe Dobbs and Mackie R. Dobbs. In 1946 they moved to Sperry, Oklahoma where they farmed and owned a dairy. They remained in Sperry until 1975 when Sylvia and Dee retired. They moved to Jennings, Oklahoma where they have made their home since. When Sylvia had spare time she loved to read, work crossword puzzles and work in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by both parents, one son, one grandson and twelve brothers and sisters. Sylvia is survived by her husband Dee of the home, children Bennie Joe and wife Doris Dobbs of Mannford; Ronnie J. Dobbs of Manes, Missouri and Mackie R. Dobbs of Jennings, Oklahoma; seventeen grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held Tuesday; December 17, 2002 at 2:00 pm at Bethany Cemetery with Rev. George Boston officiating.
