Visitation: December 19, 2002 Service: December 20, 2002 Funeral services were held Friday at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Chapman- Black Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Abbott of the First United Methodist Church officiating the services. The body will be cremated following the services under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc. of Cleveland. Delphia Josephine Washington better known as Dotty Jo, was born March 2, 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Mathew and Lydia Elma (Goodin) Moreland. Dotty grew up and attended school in Tulsa, Oklahoma she graduated from Webster High School with the Class of 1946. During her twelve years of school Dotty never missed a day or tardy to any of her classes. After her education she worked in many different places as waitress. In the early 1960’s she moved to Ohio. During her stay in Ohio she worked as a clerk at Rike-Kumler Department Store. In 1973 Dotty Jo moved to Cleveland she worked at Katies, Wards and Judy Anns. She also cleaned for the Senior Citizens. Dotty Jo loved to play bingo in her spare time. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands Ruben Chesney and Willie Washington and a son Raymond Chesney. She passed away Monday December 16, 2002 at her home in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years 9 months and 14 days. Survived by her brother, Robert Moreland of Xenia, Ohio; sister, Elma Jean Page of Jennings, Oklahoma; Donna Sue Damerson of Red Fork, Oklahoma; her aunt, Addie Blumer of Cleveland, Oklahoma as well as many other friends and relatives.
