All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Highland Cemetery--Pawnee OK Edna Whitlow rites held Wednesday (1973) Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, July 18, for long- time Pawnee citizen, Mrs. Edna Mae Whitlow, 80, who passed away here, Monday, July 16. Born March 30, 1883 in Reading, Kansas, she moved to Oklahoma with her parents and lived in the Lela-Glencoe communities. She married Robert B. Whitlow on Oct. 7, 1907 in Glencoe and she had lived in Pawnee county all of her married life. She was a member of the First Christian church of Pawnee. Survivoers include her husband, Bob Whitlow of Pawnee plus 4 daughters and 2 sons: Mrs. Mildred Todd, Pawnee; Mrs. Ruth Puckette, Tulsa; Mrs. Grace LeGrand of Skiatook; Earl Whitlow of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Hankie James of Hominy and Zane Whitlow of Woodward. Three sons preceded her in death. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, one half brother and four half sisters. The Revs. Gregory Whitlow and L. L. McGuire officiated at the service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at the Poteet Funeral Chapel. Interment was in Highland cemetery under direction of the Poteet Funeral Home.
