Allred Funeral for John H. Allred, 85, Lawton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Gary W. Cook, pastor, officiating. Mr. Allred died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at a local care center. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker Funeral Home. He was born July 26, 1918, in Cushing. He grew up in Lawton, and was a graduate of Lawton High School. He later attended Cameron College. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and retired from civil service at Fort Sill. He married Gladys McCord on Oct. 10, 1937, in Lawton. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two grandchildren: Jeff Allred and Stephanie Martinez; and four great-grandchildren: Brandon, Kevin and Garrett Allred and Kaley Martinez. He was preceded in death by three children: Lou Ann Allred, Donald Wayne Allred and Larry Allred.
