All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== 5/28/2003 William 'Bill' Bridges William "Bill" Allan Bridges, 55, Stillwater, died in his home Sunday, May 25, 2003. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday in Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Stillwater. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Strode Funeral Home. Bridges was born Nov. 13, 1947, in Stillwater to Jewell and Lela (Fultz) Bridges. He married Connie Edwards in Stillwater. He attended Stillwater Public Schools. He then joined the U.S. Army when he was 17 years old; he received his GED while in the service. He served three years in the Army before returning to Stillwater. After his return to Stillwater, Bridges worked at several different places. However, he spent a large portion of that time working at veterinarian offices. He loved the Montana mountains. He also loved to fish, hunt, camp out and track as well as an assortment of other outdoor activities. He was a veterinarian assistant and diocel hunting guide. He was a member of the Lions Club, Elks Lodge and the VFW. He is preceded in death by his father, wife, son, Chad and sister, Treva Simring. Bridges is survived by his mother, Lela Bridges; son, Josh Bridges, Anadarko; and two sisters Maxine Courtright, Stillwater; and Judy Hancock, Drumright; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives in Stillwater.
