All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Braine, Dowanna Fay Dowanna Fay Braine, was born December 30, 1926, at Cushing, OK, the daughter of Clarence E. and Lennie K Bonebrake. She died Monday, December 2, 2002, following a three year struggle with Kidney disease. Dowanna was the second of six Bonebrake siblings. She was raised in Cushing where she attended school and graduated in 1944. Her family was very active in church where she met and married Maurice McCaslin in 1946, and in the next thirteen years gave birth to two sons and two daughters. They moved from Cushing to the Ardmore area of Southern Oklahoma in 1959 and raised their family. Dowanna was a professional in the business office of various businesses and volunteered in the Assemblies of God Churches she attended. In 1990, she met again, James Braine, with whom she had graduated in 1944. On January 1, 1992, they married and she moved to Edmond, where she became an active member of Cathedral of the Hills Assembly of God. She and James loved to travel and to volunteer together ministering to shut-ins and helping in the church office and their Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband, James of the home; son, David McCaslin of Temple, TX and his wife, Mary Sue; daughter, Kathy Slawson of Dallas, TX; son, Ron McCaslin of Edmond and his wife, Marsha; daughter, Beverly Smith of Edmond and husband, Terry; step-son, Steve Braine of Edmond; brother, Don Bonebrake of Enid; sister, Melva Furman of Stillwater; sister, Elaine Blasier of Enid; five grandsons, three step-grandsons, two step granddaughters, three great granddaughters and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Keith and Harold Dean Bonebrake. Services for Dowanna will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, at Cathedral of the Hills, with interment following at Gracelawn Cemetery. Baggerley Funeral Home 930 S.
