Services, with Rev. Stanley M. Warfield Jr. officiating, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Strode Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is directing the arrangements. She was born March 26, 1916, in Stillwater to Richard and Jenny (Pugh) DuPree. She married Nolan T. Cathey July 2, 1938, in Russellville, Ark. He died Dec. 12, 1991. Cathey owned and operated her own beauty shop for 67 years. Her hobby was her work. When she retired, she was the oldest Merle Norman Studio owner and operator in the nation. She was a charter member of Altrusa, where she was president from 1962 to 1963 and had emeritus status. She was also a member of ABWA, a former YMCA Border of Directors and a member of the City Planning Commission. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Wayne DuPree of Tulsa and Gordon DuPree of Stillwater. Survivors include one son, Tom Cathey and his wife Mary Kay of Stillwater and one daughter, Pennie Sue Clack and her husband Charles of Garland, Texas; six grandchildren, Cathey Painter, Phil Clack, Kelly Boudreau, Scott Cathey, Stacy Clack and Ryan Cathey; and one sister, Marguerite Miller Penley and her husband Neil. Pallbearers will be Phil Clack, Scott Cathey, Ryan Cathey, Greg Boudreau, Doug Foster and Tom Kinnick. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 400 West Seventh Street Stillwater, OK 74074. *********************************************************************************************************
